Copyright & DMCA Policy
How we handle copyright complaints and takedown requests.
Last updated: July 3, 2026
FiddleDawdle, operated by Waters Technology Group, respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects everyone who uses the Service to do the same. Music and artwork on FiddleDawdle are uploaded by our users. When you upload, you confirm that you own or control all rights to that content and have the right to sell it. Uploading material you do not have the rights to is a violation of our Terms of Service and may be unlawful.
1. Reporting infringement
If you believe content on FiddleDawdle infringes a copyright you own or control, you can tell us two ways:
- In the app — use the Report button on any track, album, or artist page and select “Copyright” as the reason. This routes the item straight to our moderation queue.
- Formal DMCA notice — email our designated agent at copyright@fiddledawdle.com with the information described below.
2. What a DMCA takedown notice must include
To be valid under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), your notice must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (for example, the FiddleDawdle track or album link).
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Send complete notices to copyright@fiddledawdle.com. Please note that under Section 512(f) you may be liable for damages if you knowingly materially misrepresent that material is infringing.
3. What we do when we receive a notice
We review every report. When we receive a valid notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the material and make a reasonable effort to notify the user who uploaded it. We keep a record of notices we receive.
4. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to copyright@fiddledawdle.com that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., the Northern District of Georgia), and that you will accept service of process from the party that filed the original notice.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the activity.
5. Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances, and at our discretion, we will disable or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Selling music you do not have the rights to can also result in reversed payouts and permanent removal from the Service.
6. Designated agent
Copyright notices should be directed to our designated agent:
Copyright Agent, Waters Technology Group
1762 Lee Rd, Unit #V187
Lithia Springs, GA 30122, USA
Email: copyright@fiddledawdle.com
