Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Waters Technology Group (“we”, “us”, “our”), which operates FiddleDawdle, handles your information. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information you provide — name, email address, password (stored hashed), and, for sellers, profile and payout details. Transaction information about purchases, sales, memberships, and payouts. Content you upload, such as music files and artwork. Technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, and usage activity collected automatically as you use the Service.
2. Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number. Card and bank details are handled directly by Stripe under its own privacy policy. For sellers, payouts are made through Stripe Connect, which may require identity verification information that Stripe collects and holds.
3. How we use your information
To create and manage your account; process purchases, memberships, and payouts; deliver content you buy; provide support; send transactional email (receipts, verification, password resets, and important account notices); calculate and remit applicable taxes; detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We share information with service providers who help us operate — including Stripe (payments), Microsoft Azure (hosting and email delivery), and MongoDB (database). When you buy from an artist or label, limited transaction information is shared with that seller so they can fulfil the sale and account for their earnings. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, meet tax and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your account, subject to records we are legally required to retain.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You can also update most account information directly in your profile settings.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and will notify affected users of a breach as required by law.
8. Children
FiddleDawdle is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
9. International users
We operate from the United States, and your information is processed there. By using the Service you consent to that transfer and processing.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
